Sawing
Just for fun I grabbed a keyhole saw to saw, slice, chip and generally rough up the surface. Use whatever works .. a spoon or fork, screwdriver .. whatever. Experiment. It is really impossible to screw this up.
Sawing and stabbing
Continuing with the saw I am not sawing at all but stabbing, ripping, dragging – just a mad slashing attack. It works.

Here we are using the saw to create horizontal surfaces. Note how ragged the foam has become.
