By 2016 the layout was becoming pretty well finished (I thought).
Left
Here we can see Wise Engineering Works on the far left (scratch built). Just to the right is Widget Supply Company (scratchbuilt). The two buildings below the bridge re unnamed .. the brick structure to the front was supposed to be a barber shop but never got as far as getting a sign. The brick building on the far right is a Clever Models kit. The tower overlooking the pier is scratchbuilt.
Center
Center we have a scratch built tank car acting as a .. well .. tank. Originally I was going to use it as a water tank but I am undecided at this point (or just sleepy). Jukes Boat Livery (Clever Models) is lower center. The bridge with the ore car was scratched from a HO bridge. The little building in the back (pump house) is a Shanty #1 from AM Models.
Center Right
To the right of the bridge you can just barely see the small damn – just behind the pump house. A turbine lurks between and forward a bit. There is another elevated tank for oil near the track. To the right we have a Clever Models Yard Shed up top along the on18 track, my Fire Hose House (B&O) below and just a bit of the coke ovens showing.
Right
Up top is a small scratch built wooden bridge carrying the On18 track and below my scratch built coke oven.

I just discovered your website thru Facebook . . . you were listed as someone who was “friends” with someone I know . . . do not remember who . . . 😉
Anyway I am also modeling NG in On30.
No layout yet . . . got to get the garage cleaned up & floor coated before I start building sections. It is going to be a 16′ X 20′ (+/-) sectional & take apart layout on one side of my garage in AZ. I have the garage insulated and my mini-split heat pump/AC unit will cool things down.
I am thinking my biggest issue is gonna be DUST. Hence – the sealed floor and then curtains of some type to try to keep things relatively dust free.
I HAVE managed to collect a veritable shit pot of figures, buildings & locos/rolling stock.
I only just now approved your comment. I think it is my virus protection program that logs me out of my own website at times which means I don’t see comments that need approval. Oh well …
I need to add something showing the curtains I use to keep out the dust. I’ll see if I can do that shortly.
If I were to do this all over again I would build the layout in such a way that it was ‘semi-modular’ in that I would build a support structure what would support removable modules. The reason is that you could pull out a module .. and sit it on a couple of sawhorses to work on. That would enable working say on track at the back of the module .. and when finished put it back .. basically ‘inserting’ into the layout.
Do you know where your Crawford kin come from? I have Crawfords in my line from Louisiana .. married into my Chandlers.
